Registration & Enrollment

Kentucky law requires that children between the ages of 6 and 18 years old attend school.  Students who turn 5 on or before August 1 are eligible to attend Kindergarten.  Also, a child may be screened for preschool if the child turns 4 on or before August 1.  Additionally, children the age of 3 or 4 who have been identified and have an IEP may attend preschool.

To enroll a new student for the current school year, please contact the school in which your child will attend.  You will be asked to complete registration packet and to produce the following documents:

* Child's state-certified birth certificate (for application click here)

* Proof of child's recent preventative health care exam (click for form)

* Up-to-date Kentucky immunization certificate (click for link to KDE)

* Proof of an eye exam (click for form)

* Proof of a dental exam (click for form)

* Court documents pertaining to your child, if applicable

The school counselor will assist you with this process.
