The Russell County Board of Education will be accepting sealed bids on the following items:

All items are sold “as is” and “where is” and it will be the responsibility of the purchaser to remove the buses and/or vehicles.  All items must be removed by January 10, 2025.

If you would like to bid on multiple items, you must submit a separate sealed bid for each. 

Sealed bids must be clearly marked on the outside envelope: Russell County Board of Education, Attn: Marla Carnes, 404 S Main St., Jamestown, KY 42629.  Bids will be accepted Monday-Friday from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm at the Russell County Board of Education or by mail.  Faxed or e-mailed bids are not accepted.  All bids must be received by December 12, 2024 at 12:00 pm CDT. Bids will be opened at 12:05 pm, December 12, 2024.  The Russell County Board of Education reserves the right to accept and/or reject any/all bids at the December 16, board meeting.

  • 1998 Blue Ford Crown Victoria P-71 Police Interceptor. 4.6 Liter V-8 engine. Mileage 269,669.  Runs and drives when parked. Removed from service due to age. Clear Coat coming off in several places. Tires in Fair Condition.

2001 Black Ford Crown Victoria P-71 Police Interceptor. 4.6 Liter V-8 engine. Mileage 216,778.  Runs and drives when parked. Removed from service due to age. Clear Coat coming off in several places. Minor body damage to rear quarter panel on driver’s side. Minor rust. Rear passenger side window does not work. Tires in Fair Condition.   

 

  • Bus 134- 2001 International 66 passenger school bus with DT-466E, 6 cylinder diesel engine.  Runs and drives when parked. Removed from service due to age. Mileage-264,667.  Normal body and interior wear expected for age and model. Bus needs new King Pins. Tires in Fair Condition. 

 

  • Bus 444- 2004 International 52 passenger school bus with DT-466E, 6 cylinder diesel engine.  Runs and drives when parked. Removed from service due to age. Mileage-246,974.  Normal body and interior wear expected for age and model. Tires in Fair Condition.
