Russell County Schools is proud to partner with Adair County Schools through a new collaborative consortium designed to strengthen services and support for students and families served by the Migrant Education Program (MEP). Effective July 1, 2026, the partnership brings the two districts together to coordinate resources, share staff expertise and expand educational opportunities for migrant students.
By working collaboratively, Russell County Schools and Adair County Schools will provide a unified approach to addressing the unique academic, social and family needs of migrant students throughout the region.
Funded through Title I, Part C, the Migrant Education Program serves eligible migrant families and out-of-school youth who have relocated to the Russell County and Adair County school districts within the past three years in search of seasonal or temporary agricultural work. The program helps ensure that students and their families have access to important services, including tutoring, summer learning opportunities, assistance with school registration, school supplies, clothing, food and referrals for medical care.
Russell County Schools is committed to removing barriers to learning and ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed.
