What are Youth Service Centers?
The Youth Services Center (YSC) is part of the Kentucky Education Reform Act of 1990.  The YSC's main goal is to help remove barriers that prevent children from learning.  The YSC also assist families with "hurdles" of our society.  These hurdles may deal with violence, joblessness, incarceration of a family member, health issues, lack of needed school supplies, clothing or any situation that would affect a student's performance in school.

What Services are Provided Or Referred?

  • Referrals to health and social services
  • Career exploration and development
  • Summer and part-time job development for high school students
